HOLLANDFELT: Specialist in wool felt and sustainability

HOLLANDFELT has been the specialist in high-quality wool felt for decades. The company was founded in the 1970s by Richard Wernekinck, who increasingly specialized in 100% wool products. What started as a small but diverse wool wholesaler grew into a leading company that focuses entirely on wool felt made from 100% wool: a diverse product with a wide range of applications.

Our wool felt is used for all kinds of purposes, from wall coverings to improve acoustics to art objects, machine filters and curtains. Thanks to the unique natural properties of wool felt – sustainable, circular and fully recyclable – our product fits perfectly into an environmentally conscious and responsible world.

Sustainability is essential to us. We recently introduced 100% recycled wool felt: wool felt made from all kinds of unusable leftover pieces or already used wool felt. We are committed to making all aspects of the company as responsible as possible. From packaging to the manufacturing process: everything is examined every once in a while to see where we can improve.

Today, Mischa de Vries is at the helm of HOLLANDFELT. With the same passion for wool felt and innovation, the company continues to develop and strive for a sustainable future.

All orders are prepared, cut to size and packaged for the customer from Delft. We keep almost everything in stock as standard and receive new material from our factory every week. Everything, from the administrative processing of orders to sealing the packaging, is done by a team of 5 employees. This keeps the lines of communication short within the company, allowing a smooth distribution process to be maintained.

Responsible for the ins and outs of the warehouse for over 23 years. Deliveries go out every day and are sent all over the world.

Marjan has been the most important person in the cutting department for over 14 years. She ensures that every order is processed in the correct dimensions.
